It seems like we rarely ever get any more Star Wars shirts with the sequel trilogy characters these days. For fans of Kylo Ren aka Ben Solo and Rey, the merch world seems a bit empty at times. Most Star Wars swag is focused on the Mandalorian, in particular Grogu. However, with the opening of the new Star Wars Galaxy Starcruiser, that may change at least a little.
Kylo Ren and Rey have a very moody fight on the Halcyon Legacy. Granted, this conceit is a bit strange–Kylo has his mask on. And we know that he destroyed his mask in The Last Jedi and reforges it for the Rise of Skywalker. But I digress. The main point is that Rey and Ben are front and center again.
This week, Amazon released 4 different shirts featuring a stylized, cloud-draped images of four Star Wars characters. Two are of the famous droid pair C-3PO and R2D2. The other two are lovely images of Kylo Ren and Rey separately.
My personal favorite is the shirt featuring Rey with the lovely gold and blue details.
I truly hope that we see more items with Rey and Ben Solo. It’s clear that Galaxy’s Edge and the Starcruiser tourist attractions recognize that fans love the conflicted, passionate Dyad. It’s time for more merch and content that reflect that.
Fans will finally get to see a young Rey in the upcoming Adam Christopher novel, Shadow of the Sith. Here’s hoping we get to see Ben Solo as well!
